Italik's earliest memories were living in a discrete laboratory with his sibling. Under the watchful eye of Dr. [UNKNOWN], they had no idea what the outside world was like, besides what [UNKNOWN] told them. You see, Dr. [UNKNOWN] had heard that certain budlings would give their hosts powers...but he had so many questions. Did the hosts always have powers, and the budlings simply awakened them? Or perhaps something else entirely? To figure this out, he exposed Italik and (future succubud) to all sorts of budling spores.

Not too long after being subjected to the spores, Italik could only watch in horror as his parasites sprouted. That night, he and (future succubud) escaped the lab, thanks to Italik's newfound teleportation powers. Nowadays, Italik is a bit reserved, but still willing to try new things. He only lets slip about his powers to the people he trusts most, as he just wants to live a simple, test-free life.
