Fratchel
--
"Despite commonly being used as food sources, fratchels have been seen as making wonderful and loyal pets. Those who keep fratchels as pets tend to be disgusted by the concept of eating them-- or, they're fine with it."
- Found from foraging in sleepy creek, or in the pet shop (duh)
- I don't have the energy to draw the items myself but they could drop 'Fratchel Scales' (or, in the case of the scaleless morph, 'Fratchel Shed'), which gives the same traits as the Fratchel Catch item.
They would have three morphs: Basic (or common, or whatever), Scaleless, and Albino. Albino is the only non-base morph that can be found in the wild (foraging), but INCREDIBLY rarely (if that's.. even possible).
Contrary to common misconceptions about fratchels being rather stupid and simple-minded beings, well-trained fratchels are actually quite the homebodies. They act similarly to earth dogs, excitedly gargling (yes, the term for the sounds they make is gargling. It's a gutteral gargley squeal.) at those who get close enough to its water source to interact with. While some succubuds keep them in tanks, it's much more humane (and commonly practiced) to keep them in medium to large ponds.
As omnivores, they eat all manner of foodstuffs, but their diets mainly consist of shellfish and water weeds like kelp, seagrass, and thicker species of algae. Oysters tend to be their favourite!
