What is a candy charm?:
[Old concept from when minyatas were introduced that got overlooked upon approval back then]

Similar to succubuds with their monitors minyatas have a special charm on their body that is where they get their life force from while also being filled with said candy.
If this charm were to break the minyata would fade out of existance so they keep special care these charms dont break that easily tho being made of special material [up to the artist].
It must be located anywhere and can look like anything [hair clip, necklace ect...] it has to resemble the life candy.

[Note that minyatas made before the break/time of posting this do not need the charm but your welcome to add a candy charm later on!]

Lore:

HOW WERE THEY MADE:
Minyatas are living creatures who have taken the forms of piñatas using this special candy called "life candy" and a charm ensures their past soul is tethered to this candy. Minyatas carry the soul of their past self from the other world (Earth) as well as those who have passed.
They are able to walk to the other world once every Dìa de los Muertos (day of the dead) to bring candy, goodies, and toys to all who have lost a special someone in their lives. Near the end of the night, Miniyatas are tasked to guide these rested souls back with them, in which they are granted a new life to walk amongst Minyata kind.
They celibrate these new members by putting on a festival, Festival Of Souls, where they party for days on end. Each day holds a different subtype event.

WHAT IS LIFE CANDY:
Life candy is a key importance to Minyatas, as they mend their bodies and keep them alive. If they lose their candy, they will slowly start to fade.
Life candy gives Minyatas their color and personality! Usually spicy yatas are fiery, sweet yatas are overly friendly; but the personality and overall appearance is really up to the maker!
Yatas will wear this candy as a charm on the body, as well as its place inside, and it is worn as a symbol of pride for Minyata kind.

SUBTYPES:
Each Minyata is born with different subtypes to match their life candy.
EX: Sweet: Cotton candy | Sour: Lemon drops | Spicy: Jalapeños | Savoury: Pretzels | Inedible: Pencil | Sentiant: Ghost | Hybrid: Jalapeños & Pretzels
Some subtypes also come with unique traits that differ to make each type special.
Minyatas are very confident about their role Sweet minyatas are in charge of baking sweets for festivals, while inedible minyatas are in charge of creating objects for them to cook with.

HOW ARE THEY ABLE TO COEXIST WITH BUDS:
Every Minyata is granted special candy-like medication that boosts their immune systems to fight the spore infection, which helps Minyatas walk alongside Succubuds without the worry of getting infected by Budling spores.
Budlings won’t attack a Minyata, as they don’t share the same anatomy systems as their Succubud hosts.
Budlings don’t like the taste of candy and sweets, but the spores being seeds enable it to attach to anything living or non-living, which sprouts a Budling. They take the immunity candy to protect themselves from getting sick.
The only time a minyata will have a parasite is if it’s crossbred. The crossbred Budling parasite will evolve to inhabit the Minyata’s unusual anatomy system.

HOW COME THEY WEREN’T EFFECTED BY THE FALLOUT:
Minyatas live on a set of floating islands in the sky, which were protected by the spore fallout’s blast.
While spores can still make their way to the islands, Minyatas have since come up with a way to protect themselves.
The comet devistated all the ground islands and some biomes underground while others in the sky or higher up weren’t badly affected.
